Originally the densely populated core of the city, the neighborhood was transformed into a commercial zone in the mid-20th century.

Downtown Cincinnati offers the region's strongest concentration of jobs, stadiums, major events, restaurants and walkable destinations. It is the best fit for people who want city access more than yard space or suburban quiet. The tradeoffs are predictable: parking costs, event traffic, less private outdoor space and a housing market dominated by condos rather than traditional single-family homes.
