Our Take
Over-the-Rhine is Cincinnati's strongest walkable dining, nightlife and historic-architecture district. It offers a level of street activity and destination density that few neighborhoods in the region can match. The tradeoffs are equally clear: parking is harder, private outdoor space is limited, housing is often condo- or rowhouse-based, and the street-level experience can vary materially from block to block.

Redfin's latest three-month measure through July 2026 shows a median sale price of $337,335 in Over-the-Rhine, up 1.3% year over year. Homes sold in a median 110 days, with 25 sales in the period. OTR's ownership market is heavily shaped by historic rowhouses, condos, lofts and mixed-use buildings, so property type and renovation quality matter far more here than a simple neighborhood-wide median suggests.
